Taylor and Boggis Lorain Doorknobs

Pair of heavy cast iron doorknobs  made by Taylor and Boggis in “Lorain” design. Cir. 1910. Doorknobs measure 2 1/4″ in diameter and are decorated on both sides.

These Taylor and Boggis Lorain Doorknobs are an antique item and may show wear due to age. This may include scratches, pitting, patina, finish loss, rust or other general wear. Taylor & Boggis Foundry

Taylor & Boggis Foundry began in 1875 under the leadership of Harvey Taylor and Robert Boggis. It was located in Cleveland, Ohio. The foundry produced iron cast products and builders hardware. The company throughout its history survived throug a number of fires, causing it to relocate multipletimes between 1883 and 1945. In 1969, the company was purchased and consolidated under The Ohio Foundry Company. The company declared bancruptcy in 2012.
