Steel door plate with a bronze finish made by Reading. Clermont design. Cir. 1931. The door plate features slightly shaped corners, with an architectural, art deco feel. The door plate measures 7 1/2″h x 2 5/8″w.

Reading

Reading Hardware began in 1872 in Reading, Pennsylvania. It produced both basic and highly decorative builders hardware. Reading’s hardware was used in many notable buildings including the White House in Washington, D.C. The operation closed in 1950.
