Lockwood “Stanwich” Doorknob Set

Decorative bronze doorknob set. “Stanwich” design made by Lockwood. Cir. 1897-1914.  It features a concentric design with a floral center swirling out into stylized leaves. The doorknobs each measure 2 1/4″ diam.

The doorknob shaft is adjustable between 1 1/2″-2 1/2″ (measured without face plates). If you need a different sized shaft, please let us know. We may be able to swap out for a different size.

We attempt to include any significant damage beyond regular wear within the description. Lockwood

Lockwood Hardware Manufacturing Company began in 1878 under Henry Sanford Lockwood and Henry W. Lester. In 1889, Lockwood purchased the Nashua Lock Company. After suffering a bit of decline due to the Great Depression, the Independent Lock Company (ILCO) absorbed Lockwood. In 1934, an Australia branch began which continues to this day The company was later reincorporated under the original name. It continues today as Lockwood under the Assa Abloy Group.
