Decorative door plate made by Norwalk. Cir. 1909. The door plate is made of steel with a bronze finish on the raised design portion and a japanned black background. Abstract geometric design. The plate measures 6″l x 2″w.

Norwalk

Norwalk Lock Company began under the leadership of Ebenezer Hill in 1865. It was located in Norwalk, CT. They manufactured locks, keys, builders hardware and apple peelers.In 1864, after the purchase of a steam pump company, it became Norwalk Iron Works. The Segal Lock and Hardware Company acquired Norwalk in 1929.
