Decorative door face plate. “A Design” Design by Sargent & Co. Cir. 1910. Made of steel with a bronze finish. Eastlake style with multiple motifs including flowers, geometric designs and stylized leaves. The door plate measures 5  1/2″h x 1 3/4″w.

Sargent

Sargent Manufacturing was founded in 1857 in New Britain, Ct. by brothers Joseph, George and Edward Sargent. In 1864 they moved to New Haven, CT. They were a distributor for the Mallory Wheeler Company up until about 1882. Sargent Lock continues today under the ownership of Assa Abloy.
