Corbin Gotham Door Set

Cast iron doorknob set with heavy cast iron matched door plates. Art deco style. Gotham design by Corbin. It all has a factory black finish. I believe this is a 1940s wartime version made of cast iron due to the war metal conservation effort. This design was earlier available in brass. Comes complete with original latch.

Doorknobs are on a threaded shaft to allow it to fit most sizes of door. One doorknob is fixed with a pin while the other is adjustable. The doorknobs measure 2 1/4′ diam.

Door plates measure 7″h x 2 1/4″w. They are marked on the back Corbin 74581 7 x 2 1/4.

The latch part is a simple latch with no lock. The box part measures 3 1/8″l x 1 3/4″h x 3/4″ thick. The front plate appears to be brass plated with a black finish applied over the plating. The black finish is worn to reveal the brass. Front plate measures 3 3/8″h x 7/8″w.

There are some subtle spots of rust on knobs and plates.
