Branford Decorative Rim Lock
Decorative cast iron horizontal facing rim lock made by Branford. Patent date of July 21, 1863 is on front and back. This design still appears in the 1881 Branford catalogue. The lock is reversable, so can be used on doors that open either direction (simply open face with screw and flip latch). Comes with 3 old flat head screws with similar patina for mounting. Lock box has been cleaned, oiled and tested and is fully functional.
