Excelsior H 125 Key
Trunk or luggage key made by Excelsior for Hartmann luggage. Marked on one side USA Excelsior Stamford, Conn. On the back it is marked Hartman H 125. The key measures 1 7/8″l x 7/8″w with a 1″l bit.
Excelsior Lock was founded by Elisha Mix Jr., Joe Home and Charles Erickson in 1898 and moved to Stamford in 1899. They specialized in locks for trunks and luggage. The company dissolved in 1988.
Hartman Luggage was founded by Joseph Hartman in 1877. It produced fine quality luggage and trunks. The campany was sold to Samsonite in 2012.
