Lockwood Colebrook Doorknob Set

Steel doorknob set, gothic style. “Colebrook ” by Lockwood. Cir. 1914. Some remnants of brassy finish, nice patina all around. Doorknobs measure 2 1/4″ diam. Doorknob shaft can accommodate door thicknesses ranging from 1 1/2″-2 1/2″ (without door plates). If you need a different size shaft, let us know. We may be able to trade out.

Lockwood

Lockwood Hardware Manufacturing Company began in 1878 under Henry Sanford Lockwood and Henry W. Lester. In 1889, Lockwood purchased the Nashua Lock Company. After suffering a bit of decline due to the Great Depression, the Independent Lock Company (ILCO) absorbed Lockwood. In 1934, an Australia branch began which continues to this day The company was later reincorporated under the original name. It continues today as Lockwood under the Assa Abloy Group.
