Door Face Plate. Made of wrought steel. “MacKenzie” design by Springer Lock. Cir. 1920. The plate is shaped in a popular way for this time period. The door plate measures 7″h x 2 3/8″w.

Springer Lock Co.

In 1885, William Charles Springer founded The Bellville Hardware and Lock Manufacturing Company in Peterborough, Ontario. In 1910, he left Bellville and began the Springer Lock Company. In 1931 it sold to American Hardware Company, a holding Company of P.F. Corbin.
